Financial - Asiststance
A number of govt. scholarships are available for the students in different category and in different method through the help of the college or institution to the students for their uninterrupted study by the both the state and central government.

Students’ Support and Progression

1.       The College provides a large number of scholarships to the students out of its own funds and that of the Alumni Association. The College has given scholarships to the following number of students in last 5 years :

a.       2015-16 : 235 students ; Rs. 18,79,000.00

b.      2014-15 : 222 students ; Rs. 21,71,500.00

c.       2013-14 : 240 students ; Rs. 16,99,900.00

d.      2012-13 : 238 students ; Rs. 23,79,400.00

e.      2011-12 : 240 students ; Rs 24,02,600.00

2.       Apart from that a good number of students are receiving scholarships from DST-INSPIRE, NBHM, JBNSTS, Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship from Government of West Bengal, Backward Cell. We hereby furnish the data for 2014-15 :

3.       The College also arranges Remedial Coaching for the students who lag behind in their academic studies. It got financial support from the UGC in the years 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13. From the year 2013-14 this support was stopped. However, the College continued the scheme on need basis out of its own funds. 

4.       The College also provides NET-SET coaching for Postgraduate courses. For this also, It got financial support from the UGC in the years 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13. From the year 2013-14 this support was stopped. However, the College continued the scheme for Paper 1 of NET/SET syllabus.

5.       The College monitors the progress of the students’ academic performance regularly. After the publication of the results, the College Administration meets the students to analyze their results. The Department also convenes an Open House meeting with the students where they discuss the academic performance.

6.       The College sometimes organizes classes of eminent teachers of other countries through video conferencing. However, This facility has been started last year. Two such classrooms have been designated for this purpose.

7.       There is a Boys’ Store named ‘Kim Prayojanam’ within the campus.
