Extra percentage of marks as detailed below will be added to the marks of the last qualifying examination of the applicant claiming weightage. But in no case the total number of students under the category will exceed 10% of the sanctioned seats.
(i) National Cadet Corps (NCC) :
10% for candidates for holding certificate 'B', 5% for candidates representing the State in NCC activities at the all India level Camps/Courses. (This weightage shall not be allowed to those who have not passed the HS or equivalent examination in their first appearance. Camps/Courses certificate must be signed by competent authority).
(ii) National Service Scheme (NSS) :
Direct admission to NSS volunteers who have represented the country in NSS at the international level, 7% for NSS volunteers who have received the national NSS award, 5% for NSS volunteers who have received the state award, 3% for best NSS awardees / NSS volunteers at University level. (NSS certificate must have to be countersigned by the Asst. Programme Advisor, NSS Regional Centre, Bhubaneswar).
(iii) Rovers and Rangers (RR) :
5% weightage will be given to Rajya Puraskar Awardees in Rovers/Rangers, 10% weightage given to resident's Rovers/Rangers. (Certificate issued by Governor for Rajya Puraskar Awardee/by President of India for President's Rovers/Rangers).
(iv) Sports and Games (SG)
Direct admission for representing the Country at international level. 10% weightage for representing the state. 5% for representing the Council/University. (The certificate of the applicants claiming weightage in sports have to be countersigned by Director of Sports, Govt. of Orissa).
(v) Women for Subjects (WS)
5% for women applicants seeking admission with subjects not available in the local women's college. If admitted they will not be allowed to change their subject during the course.
(vi) 5% of marks will be given as weightage to the students of Commerce seeking admission to UG Commerce.
(i) No weightage is allowed for admission into PG Course/Honours/Hostels.
(ii)Total weightage claimed by a candidate shall be limited to 10%.
(iii) Applicants claiming weightage have to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria of admission.
(iv) Weightage is calculated on marks secured by the students at their H.S. or equivalent examination (excluding extra/4th optional marks).
(v) No weightage shall ordinarily be allowed to candidates obtaining certificates two years before the last date of application of admission into 1st year of Degree classes.
